10 days Scheduled Tour to Pamirs |from - to Osh


This fantastic tour is one of it's kind. You will be able to drive all the Pamir roads including Bartang valley and visit the remotest villages in Pamir. We will start the tour from Osh and finish it in Osh. Driving through the rivers of Bartang valley we then drive to Khorog and then on to Wakhan valley. We will see how Kyrgyz nomads and Pamiri people live in remote villages.  


Day 1: Osh - Tulpar Kol

We start driving in the morning to the south of the country, crossing 2 mountains passes on the way to Sarytash. When we reach SaryMogul we will have traditional Kyrgyz Chimchima with Kumis. and then drive to a famous yurt camp near Tulpar kol lake.

Day 2: Tulpar Kol - Karakul

In the morning you can hike to the first camp of in peak and if weather allows seeing the Peak itself. Then we will drive to Tajikistan. After crossing the border we will stop by Karakul lake to take some stunning pictures. And later drive to Karakul village. Overnight in the village.

Day 3: Karakul - Jalang

Today we will dive into the least accessible and visited area in Pamirs which is the east of Bartang valley, here named Nomad Jalang valley. We will see lots of Yaks, petroglyphs and a solar calendar on the road. Night in Yurts.

Day 4: Jalang - Basid

We will continue our adventureous journey today along the valley, passing the Kok jar pass we will decend to Bartang valley with rugged mountains and fantastic views. We will pass by and stop in numerous illages and have hance to learn about the lielihoods of local people. Night in homestay.

Day 5: Basid - Jizew

Today we will drive a little until reaching the Jizew bridge, from where we will hike to a famous Jizew valley. Upon reaching the village we will have lunch and those who wish to do more hiking and see more beautiful scenaries can hike further the valley. Others can stay at the village and interact with local people. Night in the homestay.

Day 6: Jizew - Khorog

Early in the morning we hike bak to the main road, where our car will be waiting for us. We jump in our car and drive to the capital of GBAO region - Khorog. Upon reaching Khorog our first stop will be the Afghan market, where you will have chance to meet Afghan traders and buy local Afghani handicrafts. Later after the lunch we will visit botanical garden and the ethnografic museum of Khorog. Night in the Hotel.

Day 7: Khorog - Yamg

On this day we will drive to Wakhan valley and see a lot of historical places like Kah Kaha Fort, Shrines and the most famous of all fortresses in Tajikistan - Yamchun fort. We will have spectacular views of Hundu Kush mountain range today across the border. In the evening after visiting Yamchun fort we will drive further to take bath in the famous Bibi Fatima Hotspring located between the mountains. Later we will drive to Yamg village for overnight, with a folk music perforamnce after the dinner.

Day 8: Yamg - Bulunkul

Today after the breakfast we will continue driving along the Wakhan valley. We will stop along the road to see Buddhist stuppa and hike to see Petroglyphs in Langar village. Later after the lunch we will drive north to join Pamir highway again over Khargush pass. Upon reaching Pamir highway we will detour again to bulunkul village where we will stay for overnight and see the grand narrow Yashilkul lake.

Day 9: Bulunkul - Murgab

On this day we will reenter the east Pamir and high mountain deserts but a bit different, especially in Alichur valley stopping at Akbalik lake and Chatir tash mountain. On the road we will make a detour to Bashgumbez to see the ancient chinese caravanserai and possible Yak riding. Later we will drive back to Pamir highway and continue to Murgab. Night in guesthouse.

Day 10: Murgab - Osh

On our last day we will drive over the highest point on our trip - Akbaital pass 4655m, and will continue back to Osh. End of Trip.

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
