You will see there an eternally clear sky, blue mirages, golden sands and boundlessly expansive steppe lands, wild asses, ibexes camels, mountain sheep and gazelles flourish here, as do different types of flora. That’s the Gobi Desert of Mongolia and Waterfall, horse riding, hot spring, white lake. North Mongolia is especially known for its famous Lake Khovsgol, the smaller brother of the nearby Lake Baikal to the north in Russia. The clear crystal blue lake reflects the soaring mountains and sky, surrounded on all sides by massive green plain.
Day 1. Terelj National Park and Chinggis Statue
You’ll explore the extraordinary formation of rocks and stones; some of them look quite similar to turtles and visit one of small Buddhist temple in Terelj national park. Drive to the tallest horseman-statue in the world, dedicated to Mongolian legendary emperor – Chinggis or Genghis Khaan, and see as far sighted Chinggis Khaan holds a golden whip in his right hand. Visit Kazak nomadic family. 1 hour horse ride trail and hiking. Stay overnight in a nomadic Kazak family’s Ger.
Day 2. Baga gazriin chuluu
1768 m high granite Stone Mountain in the territory of Adaatsag soum, Dundgobi aimag. They are not only rich in mineral and crystals, but also eye spring, old stone temple ruins related with 17th century. We will hike around mountain. Stay overnight in a nomadic family’s Ger.
Day 3. Tsagaan Suvraga
It is located junction of middle Gobi and south Gobi provinces. Tsagaan Suvraga (White Stupa) is interesting to see the sheer slope, facing east, which from a distance seems to be the ruins of the ancient city. Hiking is very good point. Stay overnight in a nomadic family’s Ger.
Day 4. ”Three beauty mountains” National Park
The mountains here are the highest in the Gobi Desert and the rocky scenery is quite interesting, especially until mid-July while the ice in a gorge remains. Some wildlife viewing. We’ll walk 3kms through a narrow valley, then 3 kms back to the minivan. Stay overnight in a camping out.
Day 5. “Khongoryn Els” sand dunes
The Khongoryn Els is some of the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia. We will see beautiful views, huge sand dunes and a cold water spring with a river that leads to two small ponds. Stay overnight in a nomadic family’s Ger.
Day 6. ” Khongoryn Els” sand dunes
We will climb and hike to the top of the highest sand dunes. There is an oasis near Khongor creek at the northern edge of the sand dune. The dunes make sound like plane engine in a windy day so it’s named as “Singing Dunes”. 1 hour camel ride trial. Stay overnight in a nomadic family’s Ger.
Day 7. Bayan Zag
Bayanzag means “rich in saxaul shrubs” is more commonly known as the “Flaming Cliffs”. It was formed 60-70 million years ago. The area is most famous for the first discovery of dinosaur eggs. Flaming Cliffs was discovered in 1922 by the explorer Roy Chapman Andrew, who visited in Mongolia. After drive to The Ongyn hiid was one of the biggest temple’s ruin in Gobi’s area of Mongolia. Stay overnight in a nomadic family’s ger.
Day 8. Orkhon valley
We’ll drive to waterfall “Orkhon”, which is great place for taking photos and go hiking through the gorge. Stay overnight in a nomadic family’s Ger.
Day 9. Orkhon valley
We’ll go horseback riding for a full day. Stay overnight in a nomadic family’s Ger.
Day 10. Erdenezuu and Karakorum
The symbolic ruins of the 13th century capital of the Mongol Empire. Visit Erdene-Zuu, the oldest monastery, with 108 stupas, built in 1586. Then visit Karakorum museum and see the Great Mongol state period, Stone Age, Bronze Age, Ancient state period halls. Stay overnight in a ger guesthouse.
Day 11. Tsenkher hot spring
We’ll drive to Tsenkher hot spring. You’ll be able relax taking natural hot bath in the hot spring water. Stay overnight in tourist ger camp.
Day 12. Great White Lake
Drive to Great White Lake and Khorgo Volcano. Khorgo-Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National park was established to protect the spectacular mountain scenery and endangered species of fauna and flora. The area has extinct volcanoes, many beautiful lakes, a great number of animals and birds, and is definitely one of the best natural tourist attractions. Khorgo is a unique natural complex (2240 m), National Park surrounded by the Khangai Mountains. Full day horse ride trial. Stay overnight in a nomadic family’s Ger.
Day 13. Zuun Lake – Shine Ider
On the way stopover near Zuun Lake. Along the way you will enjoy beautiful scenery of mountain meadow and pine tree forest. Stay overnight in a nomadic family’s ger.
Day 14. Khuvsgul Lake
In the morning drive to Khuvsgul Lake. It is the second-most voluminous freshwater lake in Asia. 99 springs and rivers flow into the lake and just one river flows out of the Khuvsgul which is Eg River. Also the lake surrounded by alpine mountains, which are covered with thick taiga. Stay overnight in a nomadic family’s Ger.
Day 15. Khuvsgul Lake
You will ride horse or hike along shore of the lake. On the way we will visit Tsaatan family, breed reindeers. Some families bring their reindeer to the Shore of Khuvsgul Lake each summer, to partake in the tourist in industry. Stay overnight in a nomadic family’s Ger. Have Mongolia traditional barbecue for dinner.
Day 16. Uran Togoo Mountain
It is Volcano Mountain in Bulgan province. We will see ruins which was Uyghur city ruin Baibalik is situated 14km west from the center of Khutag-Under Small town. Stay overnight in a camping out.
Day 17. Amart monastery
This is one of the most well-known and largest monasteries of Mongolia, it is located in the beautiful Iven Gol River valley on the foot of Burenkhan Mountain in Baruunburen village of Selenge province. Visitors especially enjoy the magnificent art and architectural construction. Stay overnight in a nomadic family’s Ger.
Day 18. Ulaanbaatar
Drive to Ulaanbaatar city.

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.
Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
