 Day 1 Bishkek city (800m) –(40 km) Ala-Archa National Park (from 1500m)

We drive to Ala-Archa National Park. It’s located in 40 km from Bishkek, which is very popular area for having a picnic, trekking, horseback riding and making kebabs among Kyrgyz people. The national reserve is rich with great mountains, long rivers, pine forests growing on the slopes of the mountains and with various fauna and flora. The main point is Ak-Sai waterfall (elevation is 2500m) cascades 25-30 meters down the hillside. The distance from the entrance to the waterfall is 2 hours. During the trekking we can have a rest or have a picnic by enjoying good views of the canyon and Ala Archa river. After coming back from Ala-Archa, you try Kyrgyz cousine in one of the cafes in Bishkek.

Day 2 Bishkek – Kara Suu (in Kochkor region of Naryn) 3-3.5 hours - horse riding to Kol-Ukok lake 

After breakfast we drive to Kara-Suu village where a local guide will wait for us with some horses. The distance to Kol-Ukok lake is about 4-5 hours. The way is between beautiful mountains and tiny lakes which are formed from the flow of Kol-Ukok lake. After arriving you have free time to have a rest. Overnight in the yurt.

Day 3 Kol-Ukok lake

Kol-Ukok lake is inhabited by local shepherds in the summer from Kochkor valley. We stay in the yurt of a very nice Kyrgyz local family who has its own domestic animals such as horses, cows and sheep. You can help with animals and have a good time there. Within two days we do trekking to the mountainous amazing small lake.

Day 4 Ukok lake – Son-Kul lake (3 - 3.5 hours)

 In the morning after breakfast we ride back to Kara-Suu village to keep our way to Song-Kol lake. On our way we will stop to take some nice pictures of nature. Further, arrival in Song-Kol yurt camp in the afternoon and have dinner there. You will have free time to have a rest and go to the shore of the lake. The temperature fo the lake is much colder than Issyk-Kul lake: average temperature of lake: from -3.50C to +110C.

 Day 5 Song-Kul lake

 After breakfast we start our horse riding accompanied by an owner of a yurt camp in an hour. In the first part of a day we will riding near the shore of the lake till the mausoleum of a Kyrgyz hero – Olzhobolot uulu Andash who proudly fought in the battle against the offensive of Kazakhs Kenensary and Noruzbay in 1847. The distance is 1.5 hour one way. After coming back to the yurt camp you and horses have time to have a rest.

After lunch time we will ride to the mountains and see a small nice waterfall there. The main thing is not the waterfall itself, but the stunning nature on the way to it. The way is quite long, you will have several time to have a rest and take beautiful pictures of the nature. It takes 2-3 hours to get to the waterfall. During our horse riding we will stop to let horses have a rest and take some pictures of nice views. Further, we will ride up to the hill on our way back to the yurt camp to see the amazing panorama of Song-Kul lake.

Notes: The way to waterfall is new, and there are no tourists. You will be one of the first people who will visit this place. The main thing is not a waterfall, is the way to waterfall that is very beautiful.

Day 6 Song Kul - Kyzyl-Oi village (1 day hiking)

After breakfast we drive to Kyzyl-Oi village. Kyzyl Oi is a unique village that was one of the few Kyrgyzstan silk road villages that existed pre-collectivization in the 1900s. Therefore, the village differs from other villages with Central Asian flavor of its reddish clay houses. We will stay in guesthouse and walk around the village to see the typical life of local people.

In the afternoon we go to the “Masar-Tash” sacred place. It is 2 km from the guesthouse. Staying there for 1-1.5 hours, further pass Chong-Suu valley within 3 hours where the yurt of a local family is. Lunch is in this local yurt. A nice local lady shows the process of milking a mare and making “Kymyz”, Kyrgyz national drink. Then, we return to the guesthouse by 17:00-17:30.


Day 7 Kyzyl Oi village – Bishkek (4-4.5 hours)

After breakfast transferring to Bishkek. On our way we will have lunch in a café. The dinner is not included into the price.

Notes: Transfer from airport to Bishkek, Bishkek – airport is possible for additional cost.
