Day1: Genghis Khan Statue - Terelj National Park

In the morning after meeting in the city we will visit Genghis Khan Statue complex which is currently the biggest equestrian statue in the world. There is a restaurant, a souvenir shop and horse trekking fields beneath the statue. Also you can go through an elevator on top of the horse head where you can have a good panoramic view of the surrounding Mongolian steppe. In the afternoon we will visit Terelj National park. Here you can see and explore extraordinary rock formations, Mongolian swamplands and hike above the mountains. With landmarks including places such as The Turtle Rock, Aryapala Meditation center and Meditation caves where monks used to find nirvana. In the evening camp near Terelj National River basin.

Day2: Terelj National park - Uran Togoo Volcano

In the Morning we will head to Khuvsgul Lake, on our way we will go through Bulgan and Khuvsgul provinces, labeled as the "the Alpines of Mongolia" due to it's breathtaking natural scenery, mountainous terrains and lush forests. During the 8+ hour long drive you can stop by to take photos or explore the local terrains In the evening we will arrive at Uran Togoo Volcanic crator where we will spend the night.

Day3: Uran Togoo - Khatgal

After breakfast we will explore the Uran Togoo Volcanic crator, a small pond and wildlife inside of the crator. Here you can also have a panoramic view of the local Mongolian steppe.

In the afternoon we will head to Khatgal Village on the southern shores of Khuvsgul Lake.

In the evening we will explore the lake on a motor boat and camp for the night.

Day 4: Visit Tsaatan Tribe

Today we will visit Tsaatan tribe that lives for the summer near Khatval village. Here you can have a chance to meet one of the few hundred remaining Tsaatan reindeer herders of Mongolia. With the accistance of the local guide we will be able to communicate with them and learn from their life. 

In the evening we will camp amongst them in their huts.

Day 5: Second day to Tsaatan people

After breakfast we can explore the local area, one of the most remote places in Mongolia and go on a trekking adventure on reindeers. In the evening we can watch how local shamans perform their rituals

Day 6: Khuvsgul lake to Aglag Khiid

Today we will say goodbye to our Tsaatan friends and head back to Ulaanbaatar, on our way we will stop at the Aglag Khiid complex for the night.

Day 7: Return to Ulaanbaatar

In the afternoon we will arrive in Ulaanbaatar and drop you off at your respected hotels as our tour comes to an end.

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
