Discover Nomadic lifestyle while staying at a genuine yurt stay in remote At-Bashy mountains run by nomad families.
Day 1: Depart from Bishkek to At-bashy mountains 430 kilometers drive along Bishkek-Torugart highway what used to be an ancient silk road route, one of the three silk road routes in Kyrgyzstan. Lunch in Boom gorge or in Kochkor village. We will show major historic and cultural sites that are in our route. Upon arrival at the yurt camp, check into our yurt. Dinner serves at the yurt.
50 kilometer ride to the village of Bash-Kayindiz where the horse guide with horses awaits to take us to horse ride to the Shaar waterfall, the tallest one in Kyrgyzstan at 420 meters. Total duration of the activity 6-7 hours. Afterwards we will visit local artisans who make traditional Kyrgyz carpets and rugs called shyrdak. Upon request most of it can be bought as a souvenir. Dinner at the yurt.
Day 3: drive on four wheel drive Jeep(s) to Kel-Suu lake, an 1.5-2 hour drive from the yurt camp. Upon arrival at the Kelsuu lake, vehicle is left at the base camp and we will follow the trail on foot for 6 kilometers to reach the Kelsuu lake. After walking around the lake spend the night at the yurts by the lake or drive back to the Kochmon Yurt camp.
After breakfast drive to Tash-Rabat caravanserai, a 10rh century fortress type building to host the weary caravans traveling on the silk road. Lunch either ataAt-Bashy village oe Tash-Rabat. We will continue our drive to Son-Kul lake. Check into yurts. Dinner serves at the yurt.
After breakfast stroll around the lake till noon then depart for Bishkek.
