Agra is very ancient city which is mentioned in Hindu's epic Mahabharat where it is named as Agraban. The city, Agra flourished under the reign of Mughal emperor Akbar the great. During his reign in 1556 AD Agra became the centre of attraction in trade and business, meeting place of saints, sages and scholars from all Asia, it became the load-star for artistic workmanship, literary talent and spiritual worth. It is situated on the right bank of river Yamuna, which is also known as Jamuna, it was developed as a riverfront garden city during his time period and in 1556, it was declared as the capital of Mughal Empire for hundreds of years. We can have a look at the remains of those periods, which are testimony to the grand historical background of history. Agra is the only city in India, which homes world heritage sites; Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, which are listed in U. N. E. S. C. O.

Thank you for your valuable time to read my profile. Explorers, who are planning to visit India, hope I will get a chance to show you around my multicultural country.

Missing Robert

We booked a round trip tour with Monika, visiting Varanasi, Sarnath, Agra, Jaipur and Delhi. We asked upfront to see certain sites (e.g.the rituals in Varanasi, Sarnath and Taj Mahal) and asked her to fill in the rest. She took us to all the requested sites and showed us so much more in the various cities, while explaining Hindu, Buddhist and Muslim culture, history and legends. She even made our request to take a dip in the Ganges river happen and joined us :-) which was great fun. She really knows exactly where to go, how to get there asap and at what time you should go, organizing transportation with chauffeur for the Varanasi area as well as for the Golden Triangle trip. In Agra we were even invited at her home, where we met Monika's family and had a marvellous lunch. She wasn't pushy; she asked if we would like that or not. Last but not least, we loved her positive, happy and "feel good" spirit during the entire trip. Therefore I wholeheartedly recommend to take Monika as your tourguide for your visit to India. For us it has truly been an ... Amazing Experience.

Monika's Same Day Agra took us to the Taj and the Fort and it was an altogether unforgettable experience. It was thanks to her that we saw what otherwise we would have missed, the details that matter because they make us see the big picture and allow us to see things in perspective. Deeply knowledgeable and and charming at the same time, Monika showed us the Agra she loves.

Missing Mehra

We booked the trip for Agra and choose Monika our trip guide, she is amazing, she have wild knowledge about her work and Indian History also she is very friendly with kids, my kids loved her the way she explained about Taj Mahal, Red Fort and Fatehpur Sikri kids just loved it, I never found them interested in history that much and understanding that quick but the way Monika explained it was amazing. Missing Gadi

One of our high lights in our tour in India was the time we experience with Monicka. She is the one of the best tour guides we had in this country.

Missing Anna

Not only does Monika speak a beautiful English, but you feel, that her profession is her passion. She managed to make history come alive. We had the pleasure to visit Fatehpur Sikri and Agra with her. Monika is knowledgeable, charming and a lot of fun to be with. I wish we could have spent more time with her; I learned a lot, also about modern India and she was definitely the best tour guide of our 3 week trip in India. And since female tour guides seem to be pretty rare in India, it was an exceptional pleasure to listen to a woman's view of things. We loved you Monika !
